Avalon Art Carnival: The Game has now come to a close but its spirit will live on with several permanent and semi-permanent works from the public art festival staying on show in Avalon. Over two weeks, more than 50,000 visitors came to Avalon to follow the carnival path and experience the works of over 30 artists. They played, they commented, they looked and listened, and engaged with pride as community creativity came alive. In the days before, Avalon locals watched the artworks take shape, revealing murals and paste-ups on the walls of local businesses, sculptures floating above awnings, local stories told through painting, embroidery, words and pictures, and so much more. Thanks to all [our supporters] for helping bring The Game to life – we could not have done it without you. We’d love to do it all again in the future. Register your interest [here] if you’d like to be involved. Thanks Avalon The team – Susan, Greg and Jayne
